 Death and the Maiden Description: "In Death And The Maiden, Paulina Escobar is the housewife to a prominent lawyer in a South American country, and a former political prisoner. A storm forcers her husband to ride home with a neighbor, and that chance encounter brings up demons form her past. Upon hearing his voice, Paulina is convinced that the neighbor, Dr. Miranda was the doctor who supervised her torture and raped her on several occasions while she was blindfolded and strapped to a table. First Sale Doctrine for the movie Death and the Maiden: Money 4 Movies is an online retailer and legal owner of the physical copies of movies it sells, rents and exchanges such as the movie Death and the Maiden. The promotion and advertisement of all movies, such as Death and the Maiden DVD, advertised for sale or rental through the display of copies of box covers, including titles, actors names, producers, and the use of excerpts, synopses and previews of the movies is protected under the "first sale doctrine". 17 U.S.C. § 109 (a).
